dash snow.

A few weeks ago someone introduced me to Dash Snow's photography which I found so visceral and compelling. Photography is always so staged, contrived.. even photojournalism. Snow's urban Polaroids from a twentysomething skaterpunk's perspective of sex, drugs and rock'n'roll in the big city is aesthetically nostalgic and surprisingly 'real'. I think that's what makes his work so fascinating. We involve ourselves in these socially frowned upon things and experiences, but rarely document them. He's badass, with a sprinkle of taboo. Unfortunately he passed away this week. Judging by his photo's, he had a hell of a life, made the best of his time here and left behind a compelling body of work.

R.I.P. Dash Snow.

aww I don't know where you're from but flights to Sweden from Spain are quite expensive and I cannot afford it at the moment! haha if I had a job it'd be different.... I hope you enjoy it though, do it for me and anybody else in the world who's in love with Sweden :) btw, Iceland is also amazing, I started getting obsessed about it a couple of days ago too
